Hero of Russia told about the feat of his unit in the NWO zone

Hero of Russia, Major of the National Guard Marat Tibilov was awarded the Gold Star medal for leading a unit that repelled counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk border area from February 5 to 8. He told Izvestia correspondent Valentin Trushnin about it on February 23.

"This is the merit of my entire unit <...>. Our unit carried out tasks from the 5th to the 8th in repelling counterattacks on the settlements of Berdino, Rozgrebli, Novosotnitskoye," Tibilov said.

According to the Hero of Russia, the fighters of the unit "did not fail". Thus, the clear and timely work of the Russian servicemen prevented the enemy's breakthrough into other settlements of Kursk region, he emphasized.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented Gold Star medals to 11 Heroes of Russia, including Major Tibilov.

At the award ceremony, the head of state noted the bravery of the participants of the special military operation (SMO) to protect Donbass in battles for peace and a bright future for the inhabitants of Russia. He congratulated the gathered on the holiday, specifying that it has long been a symbol of respect for military feats and the memory of generations of ancestors who fought for the Motherland.
