Turkey said Zelensky was desperate because of Trump
After the return of US President Donald Trump to the White House, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky found himself in a position of zugzwang. This was reported by the Turkish edition Milliyet on February 23.
"Sometimes in chess, no matter what move you make, you worsen your position. It's called a zugzwang. Zelensky found himself in a desperate position after the Trump presidency", - stated in the material.
It is noted that the head of the Kiev regime rejected Trump's conditions on rare earth resources of Ukraine, and the US President made an attempt to make a deal with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
According to the publication, Zelensky was forced to choose between the loss of Ukrainian territories and submission to the American side.
The day before, Trump said that he was going to demand from Ukraine not only rare earth minerals, but also oil and "everything he can get". At the same time, the TV channel Sky News reported on Zelensky's doubts about the rare earth metals deal.
On February 21, the US president said he had warned Ukraine of problems if it refused to sign the rare earth minerals deal. Later, he expressed doubts about Kiev's availability of the resources.
