Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbass since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that units of the "Southern" group of troops liberated the village of Ulakly in the DNR, and units of the "Center" group of troops completed the liberation of the village of Novoandreyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.

In the zone of responsibility of Group South, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) suffered losses of up to 165 servicemen, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, four vehicles and four field artillery pieces.

In addition, air defense means destroyed four French Hammer guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) and 73 aircraft-type drones.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 656 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 44,263 UAVs, 596 anti-aircraft missile systems, 21,713 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,521 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,980 field artillery and mortars, and 32,059 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
