Estonia will send a new military aid package to Ukraine, which will include 10,000 artillery shells and food packages for soldiers. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Baltic republic Kristen Michal on February 22.

"Estonia is sending 10 thousand units of artillery ammunition and 750 thousand food packages for Ukrainian fighters," - wrote the head of government on his page in the social network X (former Twitter).

He pointed out that at the first opportunity Estonian defense industry's own products worth over €100 million will be added to this assistance.

Michal assured Kiev that it will always be able to count on Tallinn's support.

Earlier on February 22, Bloomberg reported that the European Union (EU) is discussing the transfer of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of €20 billion. This is due to the desire of the association to support Kiev against the background of the fact that the American leader Donald Trump seeks to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Moscow as soon as possible.

At the same time, on the same day, the data of a survey conducted by the Opinia24 center were published, according to which 53% of Poles surveyed do not want arms supplies to Kiev to continue. Only 29% of respondents were in favor of Poland's assistance to Ukraine.

The Institute for the World Economy (IfW) said on 14 February that the West had allocated about €267bn in aid to Ukraine over the past three years. It is specified that about €130bn is military aid, €118bn is financial support, and the remaining €19bn is humanitarian aid.
