Boxer Bivol announced Beterbiev's intention to demand a rematch


Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev wants to challenge his opponent to a rematch after his defeat. This was told to "Izvestia" on February 23 by his winning compatriot Dmitry Bivol.
"I approached Arthur and said that I was grateful to him for the fight, that I respect him, that when I was in the national team, I looked at him as a leader, and thank him for these fights," said Bivol.
According to him, some time later Beterbiev approached him and expressed his desire to arrange a third fight between two of the strongest Russian boxers in the light heavyweight division.
That day, Bivol defeated Beterbiev in a fight for the world bantamweight title. The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Bivol winning by judges' decision (114-114, 116-112, 115-113. Athletes have already the second joint fight together. Their first clash in the ring took place in October 2024, Beterbiev defeated Bivol by unanimous decision.
