The notary told about the reasons for the transfer of inheritance into the ownership of the state

In Russia, under certain circumstances, a person's inheritance may become the property of the state. This was told by Moscow notary Ilya Radchenko in a conversation with "RIA Novosti" on February 23.

So, one of the main reasons may be that all heirs will refuse to accept the property bequeathed to them.

"If no one will not accept the inheritance, then the inheritance goes to the state," - said the specialist.

He also noted that there are other reasons, such as the absence of heirs under the law and the will, the loss of the right of inheritance by heirs or the decision to abandon the inheritance without specifying in whose favor.

In this case, together with the inheritance, the debts of the testator are also transferred to the new owners. If the ownership of the property is obtained by the state or its subject, it will also be obliged to pay for the obligations that the person did not manage to repay during his lifetime.

"All claims will also pass to the state, again within the value of the property that will pass to the state," the notary said.
