Barnaul is the middle child in the family. According to the number of the calculation, his relatives were worried, but accepted his decision to leave after his father in the combat zone.
"Everyone was worried, but already decided firmly. They are waiting, they miss him. I understood from my father's stories that it was important, and the protection of the motherland and his loved ones. I went through training, was brought to the position, saw how - I grasped it on the fly", - said Barnaul.
Svat has been in the zone since May 9 last year, and this is his third contract with the Russian Defense Ministry. He says he did not decide anything for his son, he only brought him up and trusted his choice.
"After all, he is a family man, my anxiety was holding me back. But when he said he had already decided, I supported him in this. And quite a big enough support for me, it means we are doing everything right," Swat shared.
Father and son share a dugout, where they farm together, watch the sky and look out for each other.
In December last year, a volunteer shooter from the BARS-Kursk unit with the call sign Vesna and a medic with the call sign Matilda told Izvestia about their service in the special operation zone.
