Trump says possible end to Ukraine conflict 'this week'

US President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of ending the conflict in Ukraine "this week". This was stated by White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt on February 22.

"The president and his team are focused on negotiating with both sides to end this conflict, and he firmly believes we can accomplish that as early as this week," she reported.

Livitt also pointed out that Trump's national security adviser Mike Waltz will be working around the clock over this weekend "to make a deal and end this conflict."
