The IDF attacked the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the border crossings between Syria and Lebanon on February 22.
"Some time ago, the Israel Defense Forces struck the border crossings on the border between Syria and Lebanon, through which the organization (Shiite movement. - Ed.) Hezbollah tried to smuggle weapons into Lebanon," the press service informed in the Telegram channel of the defense establishment.
The IDF noted that such smuggling attempts are a blatant violation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
The first phase of the ceasefire came into effect between Israel and the Palestinian radical movement Hamas on January 19. During this phase of the deal, which will last 42 days, 33 Israeli hostages and some 1,900 Palestinians are to be released. On the same day, the movement released three people in exchange for 90 Palestinian prisoners. After that, several more rounds of exchanges took place.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
