US President Donald Trump has said that he is going to demand from Ukraine not only rare-earth minerals, but also oil and "everything he can get". He made such a statement on February 22 during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), live on Fox TV.

"So I want them (Ukrainian authorities. - Ed.) to give us something for all the money we sent. And I'm going to try to end <conflict>, and I'm going to try to end all these deaths. So we're asking for rare earth metals and oil, whatever we can get," he said.

He said the European Union, which has also provided aid to Kiev, has the ability to get the money back, while the U.S. does not. Trump sees the solution to this problem as compensation for the money spent with minerals, which are planned to be exported to the United States c Ukraine.

On the same day, the Sky News channel reported on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy 's doubts about the deal with the United States on rare-earth metals. It is noted that the agreement with Washington has not yet been finalized in order to sign it, and in its current form, the President of Ukraine will not be able to accept the document. On February 21, Trump said that he warned Ukraine of problems in case of refusal to conclude a deal on rare earth minerals. Later, the US head of state expressed doubts about Kiev's resources.
