Air defense systems intercept nine Ukrainian UAVs over Russian territory

Air defense systems have intercepted nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Russian territory, the Russian Defence Ministry has said on 22 February. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 22.

"From 20.50 to 22.25 Moscow time on duty air defense means destroyed nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles," - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the department.

It is specified that six UAVs were intercepted over the territory of Belgorod region and one more drone was destroyed over the territories of the Republic of Crimea, Orel and Kursk regions.

Cruise missiles "Ruta" and "Peklo" could be used in a large-scale raid on our territory.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry said that last night air defense forces intercepted and destroyed two Ukrainian drones over Rostov and Voronezh regions.
