In Russia there is a shortage of apartments costing up to 3 million rubles

The share of apartments costing up to 3 million rubles in the largest cities of Russia does not exceed 4%, according to the federal company "Etazhi".
"As the average price per square meter grows, the share of apartments costing up to 3 million rubles in the secondary market in Russia's megacities continues to decline. Often in this price category fall small-sized housing, boarding houses, rooms in hostels, apartments, apartments on the outskirts of large cities, as well as in emergency houses. However, there are options adapted for comfortable living, but these are isolated cases. Therefore, it is not uncommon for Russians with remote work, as well as retirement age began to look at housing options outside metropolitan areas", - said the head of the analytical center of the federal company "Etazhi" Irina Pashkovskaya.
Experts have analyzed about 100 thousand announcements on sale of apartments on the secondary market in Russia and made a rating of million-strong cities on the largest share of objects costing up to 3 million rubles.
The first place was taken by Volgograd, where the share of apartments costing up to 3 million rubles is 11.1% of the total number of apartments for sale. In second place Chelyabinsk with the share of such housing 10.4%, in third place Perm - 10.1%, in fourth place Voronezh - 9.1%, in fifth place Krasnoyarsk - 8.9%.

At the same time, in absolute values, the most apartments costing up to 3 million rubles are represented in Volgograd, with Krasnodar in second place and Omsk in third place.
"In cities with a high average cost per square meter, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan, most of the supply costing up to 3 million rubles is either microstudios or objects that do not have the status of residential premises with an area of 8-12 square meters. m. It should be noted that cheap housing options - one of the most risky, and here even more carefully need to check the object itself and the owner before buying. Often fraudsters create fake ads in the most budget segment", - summarized Pashkovskaya.
February 5, it was reported that every eighth Russian respondent (12%) plans to start saving and saving money for an apartment in 2025. This is stated in the results of the research of the company Level Group.
