Russian forward Evgeni Malkin, who plays for the American hockey club (HC) Pittsburgh Penguins, has recovered from injury and will play in the next match against the Washington Capitals, captained by Alexander Ovechkin. This is reported by the newspaper "Sport-Express" on February 22 .

"I will definitely play on Saturday, 100 percent. I expected to play in the last game against the Rangers, but it was a little risky. Then we had a 10-day break, which helped me recover 100 percent," Malkin said.

Earlier on January 25, Evgeni Malkin was forced to leave the game against the Seattle Kraken due to injury. He collided with Seattle forward Chandler Stephenson, resulting in a knee injury.

The forward became the second Russian to join the venerable "500 Club," which has only 48 hockey players. Malkin scored his 500th goal on Oct. 17 against the Buffalo Sabres, giving Pittsburgh a 6-5 overtime win.
