An accident involving four cars occurred in Smolensk region, there were no casualties. This was reported on February 22 by the EMERCOM Department in the region.

"At 224 km of FAD M-1 "Belarus" in Vyazemsky municipal district there was an accident involving four cars", - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

It is specified that in connection with the incident temporarily blocked lanes of traffic in the direction of Smolensk, resulting in a traffic jam up to 2 km long.

"Road services are working on the spot, cutting the cable barrier. The traffic police will organize reverse traffic. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia provide fire safety", - added in the department.
