Singer Serge wrote the song "Russia" to help unite the people, awaken a sense of patriotism and love for his country. About this on February 22, the performer told "Izvestia".

"I have been a patriot since childhood, I sincerely love my homeland and do not hesitate to talk about it. Therefore, I thought that in a difficult moment for our country such a song will find an echo in the hearts of all who share my feelings for Russia," - shared the artist, adding that the composition is primarily addressed to the fighters defending the country on the front line in the zone of the NWO.

He noted that he tries to write songs himself, and "Russia" was no exception. Serge emphasized that he would like to spread love for the homeland, so that everyone would have only warm feelings for it and always stand on the side of his native country.

"Of course, [I write] myself, but if I'm impressed by someone else's work, I'm happy to take it up! But in general, I think it's impossible to write songs continuously on your own, sooner or later you'll run out of steam. And if you lose inspiration, you start repeating yourself. I would not like that very much," said Serge.

According to the singer, "in the near future" the music video for the song "Russia" will be released.

Serge added that he plans to release a duet with singer Slava in the near future, as well as the release of a single written by composer Igor Kruty.

He noted that he would also like to release a solo album in the summer and "would like to record a duet with Grigory Leps.

In turn, Belarusian pop singer and composer Ruslan Alekhno told "Izvestia" that he decided to write music on Serge's poems about Russia, as they are very deep and touching.

"They are written by an 18-year-old boy Serge, whom I have known since the age of seven. And believe me, at such an age to write poems about the motherland, attitude to it, about the country where he was born and grew up, can not everyone. All this inspired me to write music," Alekhno said.

He expressed confidence that the younger generation will like this song, because in addition to the depth in the verses and attitude to the motherland, it contains a simple understanding of courage and dignity, and every young person who grows up and is brought up with traditional values, this song will be close to them.

Serge presented thesong "Russia" on February 17. The musician noted that it was an honor for him to present the composition in the year declared by President Vladimir Putin as the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.

Serge himself became the author of the lyrics and Ruslan Alekhno became the author of the music.
