"The court decided to elect Goncharov a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody for two months," the agency quoted the judge as saying.

On February 22, it was reported that Goncharov was detained. A criminal case was opened against him under Part 3 of Article 286 ("Exceeding official powers"). It was reported that the Advisor to the Governor was detained in the case of Deputy Governor and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Konstantin Rachalovsky.

According to the investigation, the deputy head of the region illegally allocated funds from the budget for the implementation of state agricultural development programs. Subsequently, the companies that received subsidies were declared bankrupt. The damage to the state budget was estimated at almost 156 million rubles.
