This year about 1 million Muscovites will move into new housing built in the capital under the Renovation Program. This was announced by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
Under this program, 5.6 million square meters of housing has already been commissioned, including 1.34 million square meters - last year, said the mayor in his Telegram-channel. "This will allow to resettle more than 1,200 old houses," Sobyanin wrote. - Last year 82 houses were handed over for settlement, resettlement of over 49 thousand people has begun."
In total, 359 new buildings have been handed over for settlement, resettlement of over 200 thousand Muscovites has been completed or is underway, he added.
Moscow keeps high rates of real estate construction - since 2011 148.6 million square meters of real estate, including 64.7 million square meters of housing, Sobyanin noted. He called the Program of Integrated Territory Development (CTD) one of the important elements of urban development.
As of the end of 2024, 108 projects were approved and moved to the implementation stage, within the framework of which it is expected to build more than 27 million square meters of real estate. "In 2025, we will increase the number of projects to 150. It is also expected to complete the integrated development of the territory "Oktyabrskoe Pole"," - wrote the mayor.
