Iskander-M missiles hit more than 1,400 targets during the SES

During the special military operation (SMO), missiles of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system hit more than 1.4 thousand targets. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 22.

"The tasks are to launch a single or group strike into the tactical depth of the enemy against such targets as command posts, concentrations of manpower, important infrastructure, airfields," shared the chief of the calculation with the call sign Igla.

One Iskander-M launcher launches two missiles. The Defense Ministry specified that depending on the task at hand, one can choose to launch a ballistic or cruise munition.

At the same time, it is noted that due to the hypersonic speed of the missiles it is impossible to destroy by air defense means (air defense).

The penetrating warhead is capable of destroying enemy command posts, massive buildings and underground infrastructure

On February 18, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of fire strikes on places where Ukrainian army troops are concentrated by units of the "North" group of forces in the Kharkiv direction. A TOS-1A Solntsepek TOS-1A unit destroyed the Ukrainian servicemen's hideout.
