On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russian men began to buy bicycles en masse - sales of this type of transport from February 1 to 18 increased by 52% compared to the same period last year. This was reported to "Gazeta.Ru" by the press service of "Chek Index" on February 21.

"Over the year, bicycles rose in price by 16%, to an average of 14.3 thousand rubles. In second place in popularity were computer games - over the year the number of their purchases increased by 32%, and the average check - by 14%, to 2.4 thousand rubles. Dumbbells were among the top 3 popular purchases on the eve of the holiday. The number of purchases increased by 19%, while the average check - by 11%, up to Br1.3 thousand," reports the publication.

There is also a slight increase in sales of more traditional gifts - men's perfume (4%), socks (3%), underwear (3%) and shaving foam (2%).

"In 2025, for February 23, Russians prefer to give gifts related to healthy lifestyle and digital entertainment. As a rule, such gifts men make themselves," - said the experts of "Check Index".
