UK prepares new aid package for Ukraine and sanctions against Russian Federation

On 24 February, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer may announce the introduction of new sanctions against Russia, as well as the provision of an additional military aid package to Ukraine. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper on February 21.
"The Prime Minister will use the third anniversary [of the start of the SWO] to announce a 'triple blow' on Monday, including military aid [to Ukraine] and sanctions [against Russia]," the publication writes.
It also points out that such a pro-war stance goes against the policies of US President Donald Trump amid "a growing rift between the US and Europe."
"This is in sharp contrast to the approach of Mr. Trump, who in recent days has called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a 'dictator' and insisted on an early end to the conflict," the newspaper reported.
A day earlier, Russia's ambassador to Britain Andrei Kelin said Russia did not accept the idea of Britain's peacekeeping troops in Ukraine. He also questioned whether there could be a potential peace agreement without new elections in Ukraine. In early February, the NT portal reported on the UK's creation of maritime drones for Ukraine. It was specified that the program included the creation of two models of unmanned surface vehicles Wasp and Snapper.
