Senior Lieutenant Kiselev demined more than 1.1 thousand ERW during the course of the Strategic Defense Forces.

Senior Lieutenant Andrei Kiselev has cleared more than 1.1 thousand explosive objects during his participation in a special military operation (SMO). On Saturday, February 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) in the zone of the Special Military Operation (SMO).

Kiselev is currently commanding an engineering and technical platoon and together with his subordinates regularly performs tasks on engineering reconnaissance, mines and mine clearance of terrain, making passages in mine-explosive barriers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and engineering support of units.

Kiselev personally managed to demine more than 1.1 thousand explosive ordnance disposal sites and make more than 200 safe passages in mine and explosive barriers. The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that the actions of the senior lieutenant many times contributed to the success of the Russian army.

The Defense Ministry also noted the courage and determination of Private Ivan Zhagalyak, who spotted a Ukrainian drone approaching Russian positions while on duty at an observation post.

Having detected an enemy drone in the air, Zhagalyak took aim and fired at it with a smoothbore weapon. The drone was successfully shot down and detonated as it crashed, causing no damage to Russian Armed Forces units.

On February 20, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Lieutenant Artur Shevelev operated a quadrocopter during the assault on an AFU stronghold and destroyed an enemy machine gun crew.
