US President Donald Trump's special envoy for special assignments Richard Grenell has said that Americans are disappointed with the power of Ukrainian head Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He said this on February 21 at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

"I believe that Americans are really disappointed with Zelensky. I think there's a lot of frustration because he's not making the right decisions that would bring peace closer," The Independent quotes Grenell as saying.

According to him, the citizens of the United States are frustrated because most of the aid from Washington is gone.

In addition, Trump's envoy noted that America is waiting for Zelensky to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the settlement of the conflict.

Earlier, on February 20, US President Donald Trump said that Zelensky "did a terrible job", which resulted in the destruction of his country and "millions of people" died in vain. The American leader added that the Ukrainian president is not interested in ending the conflict and wants "easy money to keep coming."

Zelensky said in an interview with the Associated Press on February 3 that he had no idea where the $200 billion in U.S. military aid allocated to Ukraine had gone. According to him, Kiev has only received more than $75bn from Washington.
