Knife attacker at Holocaust memorial in Berlin is at large


A man was attacked with a knife at Berlin's Holocaust memorial on Friday, February 21. The perpetrator is on the run. About it reports the newspaper Tagespiegel with reference to the police.
"According to the police, the man, who was in a field with steles, was injured with a sharp object, and the rescue service of the fire department took him to the hospital," - reports the edition.
According to Tagesspiegel, a folding knife was found at the scene. Represent law enforcement agencies also stated that at the moment there is a large-scale operation to find the escaped criminal and to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
In addition, the scene of the crime was the northern part of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, where the U.S. Embassy is located on the opposite side. Police are investigating exactly what the incident was related to.
Earlier, on January 13, two people were killed in a knife attack in Kazekow, which is located in Brandenburg. It is specified that unknown persons committed the attacks in an apartment building.
