A cosmetologist told about the dangers of an ordinary pimple

An ordinary pimple may turn out to be a cancerous formation. Amina Akhmetova, cosmetologist, dermatovenerologist of Medfrends Center, told about it on February 21.

Symptoms of malignant formations can vary from long non-healing pimples to larger tumors. In the initial stages, they may not manifest themselves. As a result, a cancerous tumor often goes unnoticed until it begins to actively develop, the doctor noted.

"Often skin cancer can look like other types of benign skin formations, so it is important to monitor the changes on the body and their dynamics. Do not ignore the symptoms if the formation on the skin has become asymmetric, changed color, structure, does not go away for a long time, bleeds, increases or crusts, scars appear on the surface," she said in conversation with "Gazeta.Ru".

In the presence of suspicious changes in the skin, according to the specialist, it is necessary to immediately contact a dermatologist and oncologist for diagnosis and the beginning of timely treatment. Early diagnosis will reduce the risk of complications, Akhmetova added.
