State Duma predicts sanctions relief against Russia

Sanctions relief against Russia will begin to be implemented. This opinion was expressed by the head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov on Friday, February 21.
Earlier in the day, it became known that the G7 countries removed from the new communiqué the call to tighten the ceiling on Russian oil prices, RT reports.
The G7 also significantly softened the wording in the document. Thus, they removed the reference to Russia as an "aggressor" in the latest document, 360.ru reports.
"Obviously, there will be new and new signals in connection with the reasonable position of the American administration that it is necessary to change relations with Russia, and especially it will concern the economic sphere, since the G7 countries have also lost quite significantly from the fact that they broke relations with Russia," Aksakov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.
The parliamentarian added that the market should develop according to market laws, and if such decisions are taken, it means that common sense is beginning to gradually triumph.
On February 20, it was reported that the United States opposed the use of the phrase "aggressor" in relation to Russia in the new G7 communiqué on Ukraine, reports NSN.
Earlier, on February 19, the media reported that representatives of the European Union agreed on the 16th package of sanctions against Russia. Foreign Ministries of the G7 countries on February 15 adopted a communiqué on the topic of the introduction of new restrictions against Russia. Restrictions were linked to the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
Before that, on 12 February, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov drew attention to the fact that European countries were preparing new sanctions amid the difficult situation in their own economies.
