The Defense Ministry showed footage of the liberation of Novoselka and Novovocheretovatoye in the DNR

The Russian Defense Ministry has released a video of the fighting in the settlements of Novoselka and Novovocheretovatoje in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), which were liberated by the units of the Vostok group of forces in the South Donetsk direction as a result of an active advance deep into the enemy's defense. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 21.

The footage shows artillery and drone strikes and the defeat of columns of Ukrainian armored vehicles. The Russian national flag was unfurled in Novooochertovatom by a fighter with the call sign Talysh, who participated in the assault on Velyka Novoselka.

"After an artillery preparation on the control points of unmanned aircraft and enemy fire points, the assault units of the 57th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade on armored vehicles broke through to Novoselka, landed a paratrooper in the rear of the Ukrainian nationalists and entrenched themselves in the residential area. Having dislodged the enemy from the settlement, the attackers carried out a sweep of buildings, basements, structures, as well as adjacent forest belts," the message accompanying the video reads.

On the same day, the Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military had liberated the settlements of Nadezhdinka and Novoselka in the DNR. Nadezhdinka was liberated by units of the Center group of troops, while Novoselka was liberated by fighters of the Vostok group, the report said.
