Russia has enough matter, energy and intellect, meaning the human soul, for the development of science. This was stated by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the National Research Center (NRC) "Kurchatov Institute" on February 21 at the plenary session of the Future Technologies Forum Mikhail Kovalchuk at the plenary session of the Future Technologies Forum.

He noted that man is part of the material world, and any human thought is subsequently available to society through the creation of material.

"Everything in life is material. And [Russian President] Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin], when he announced the start of a special military operation, in fact, if you set aside everything else, there was only one important fact: reminding the world that it is material, and we are an essential part of this material world," the scientist said.

Kovalchuk gave the example that a painter, if he has an image of a future painting in his head, will need paints and canvas to depict it. And a composer needs a musical instrument, notes, to reproduce the music he has thought up.

"And we, when asked about priorities in the development of science and technology - there are always two. The first is matter, and the second is the energy needed to make that matter. But when we had a conversation with Vladimir Vladimirovich, he told me - there is a third: it is the intellect, the soul. And here is the intellect and human thoughts - it seems to me that in our country there is more than enough of all this," he said.

Earlier during the forum Putin thanked SRC "Kurchatov Institute" for scientific activities. The President noted the effective work of the research center in the field of genetics and mentioned the possibility of creating underwater gas carriers.

Before that, on February 8, Kovalchuk said that science today is the main creative force that ensures the development of civilization. The president of the Kurchatov Institute called science one of the most important and noble endeavors in the world. He added that the more a person knows, the more effective he becomes in the future.
