The State Automobile Inspectorate announced raids on drivers in Moscow


Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct targeted raids on the roads of the capital, which will last until the end of the weekend. The agency reported about it in its Telegram-channel on February 21.
Since the beginning of the current week employees of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the capital have been brought to responsibility more than 250 drivers for driving with signs of intoxication.
Of this number, 90 drivers were found to be intoxicated. 148 refused to undergo the examination procedure. Another 16 repeatedly sat behind the wheel in a drunken state, having been deprived of their licenses, and now they face criminal responsibility, noted in the department.
February 19, it was reported that almost every eighth car owner does not use a child car seat. Thus, 12.7% of drivers who transport children, said that they do not use such a seat. However, two-thirds (64.3%) of respondents indicated that they use car seats for a certain age of the child.
February 17, it became known that the total amount of fines for traffic violations in 2024 amounted to 176.3 billion rubles. A total of 255 million rulings were issued, and 93% of them were issued automatically by photo-video fixation complexes.
