A championship for retail employees will be held in Moscow

In April, Moscow will host the Retail Skills Championship, within the framework of which 100 best specialists of retail chains will compete in five areas: store director, sales consultant, cashier, sales floor worker and order picker. The championship is organized by Avito Work and Retail Academy.

The event will also include a conference "Resources for increasing productivity in retail" and a job fair with a training and entertainment program.

Preparations for the championship will be part of a partnership between the Retail Academy and Avito Jobs, who have agreed to work together to raise the profile of retail professions as part of a strategic cooperation agreement.

"As part of the partnership, we will focus on promoting the value of work in retail and popularizing trade jobs. We will combine competencies in HR technologies and retail to help attract new staff and increase hiring efficiency," said Dmitry Puchkov, managing director of Avito Rabota.

Alexei Filatov, founder of the Retail Academy and associate professor at MGIMO, added that "new digital technologies, targeted talent engagement and Avito Rabota's media support will play an important role in solving the staffing problem" in the industry.
