A tanker and a dry cargo ship collided off the coast of Gelendzhik


Tanker Natig Aliyev and dry cargo ship Begonia collided off the coast of Gelendzhik. This was reported by Izvestiya source on February 21.
According to the source, the tanker's anchor chain broke off, which caused it to be thrown back to the dry cargo ship, and the ships were caught by their sides. They managed to separate them with the help of a tugboat.
Preliminarily, the vessels have damages, but they are insignificant and repairs will be carried out at sea. There are no casualties as a result of the incident.
The day before it was reported that the stern of the tanker "Volgoneft-239", which crashed in the Black Sea, half dismantled. It is also specified that at the moment the final stage of dismantling of the aft part of the vessel is underway.
