The action "Streets of Heroes" will be held in Moscow

The action "Streets of Heroes" will start in Moscow on February 23. As Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina said, twice a month until May 9, volunteers will tell about the defenders of the Fatherland, in honor of whom certain places in the city are named, and hand out triangle letters with information about them.

"Such actions emphasize continuity and help to keep the memory of the exploits of the Victory generation," Sergunina emphasized. - Volunteers can be met on the streets and squares, in squares and at metro stations, which bear the names of heroes".

From volunteers residents and guests of the capital will hear stories about those who defended the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War: pilots, tankers, soldiers, partisans, military leaders.

The action will be held at the metro station "Ulitsa Dmitrievskogo", in Talalikhin Square, on the square of Solovetsky Yung, Podolskie Kursantov Street, as well as on Efremov Street, Liza Chaikina Street, Sergei Makeev Street, Raskova Street, Zoya and Alexander Kosmodemyanskikh Street, Khlobystov Street and in a number of other locations.

Patriotic volunteering is among the five most popular in the capital. The Mosvolonter resource center is engaged in its development. Moscow's volunteer movement unites about 1.4 million people.
