Hamas has promised to look into the Israeli hostage body situation

The Palestinian radical movement Hamas has promised to deal with the situation with the body of Israeli hostage Shiri Bibas. This was reported by The Times of Israel on February 21.
Hamas is investigating allegations about Bibas' body, which Israel claims was replaced by the remains of a Gaza resident. The mistake could have occurred because Bibas' remains "could have been mixed with those of other people during the bombing," the paper said.
Hamas says it will inform the results of the investigation and calls on Israel to return the remains of the Palestinian woman.
"The body was also dressed in clothes and was examined by the institute several times. The DNA of the body was tested against the DNA of Shiri and all other female hostages still held by Hamas, and none of them matched," Israeli authorities told The Times of Israel newspaper.
On Feb. 20, Hamas handed over the bodies of four dead hostages to Israel. It was noted that including the bodies of family members of previously released Yarden Bibas were handed over.
The next day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that instead of the body of hostage Bibas, the Palestinian radical movement Hamas handed over the corpse of an unknown resident of Gaza.
