It is not known what the USA will demand from Russia for ending the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on February 21, commenting on the Russian-American talks held in Riyadh.

"You see how the political environment is changing, which has been weighing on the economy due to the U.S. policy and so on. But there is no need to be deceived. We don't know what the US wants. I say this because I am absolutely immersed in these issues. We don't know what they will demand from the Russians," BelTA quoted him as saying.

In his opinion, the United States may try to push Russia against China. And the Russians should not allow this.

Talks between the delegations of Russia and the United States were held in one of the palaces of the royal family in Riyadh on February 18. After the meeting, the US State Department said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had agreed to appoint high-level negotiating teams to begin work on resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
