State Duma deputy spoke about the importance of child seats in cabs

Cabs must necessarily be equipped with child seats, while fares for the transportation of children should not significantly exceed the usual fares. During a press conference in the MIC "Izvestia" on the topic "The main changes in the cab market" on February 21, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Artem Kiryanov.
"As for child seats - from my point of view, simply as a man and as a father, a child seat should be in every car. No problem, there should be a child seat in the trunk," he said.
According to him, the child tariff should not be seriously reflected in the cost, as a rigid fixation of the tariff will not lead to anything good.
"We have to fight for transparency of the market in all its manifestations. As soon as we start talking about some special regimes that do not allow something, then we almost immediately get the growth of the shadow economy," - summarized Kiryanov.
Earlier, on February 17, "Izvestia" got acquainted with the bill, introduced by deputies of the LDPR faction headed by Leonid Slutsky, which proposes to oblige drivers to have child seats, as well as to introduce restrictions on the increase in the tariff, if the driver has such an option. The explanatory note also specifies that the issues of determining the size of cab fares are regulated by the law "On the organization of passenger and luggage transportation by passenger cab in the Russian Federation". It establishes that the carrier is obliged to provide additional requirements for servicing families with children.
