Mandatory certification for cab drivers will be effective from March 1, 2025. During a press conference at the Izvestia IEC on "Major changes in the cab market" on February 21, this was announced by the head of the Taxi Transportation Development Directorate of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow, Sergei Alexyuk.

Attestation of drivers will increase the level of safety for passengers, as it includes testing for actions in emergency situations, he specified.
