Tusk urged the EU for urgent action on Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has urged the EU to take urgent measures against the background of negotiations between Russia and the USA without Europe's participation. In social network X on February 20, he named three options for possible action on the Ukrainian crisis.
"Let's finance our aid to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets. Let's strengthen air security, defense of the Baltic States and the EU borders with Russia" - said Tusk.
Also, the Polish Prime Minister called for the rapid adoption of new financial rules for the financing and defense of the European Union (EU). In his opinion, all this should be done immediately.
Earlier, on February 20, Tusk said in social network X that the surrender of Ukraine would mean the surrender of the entire West.
Before that, on February 17, The National Interest magazine said that the conflict in Ukraine is de facto over, further NATO expansion is also over. The magazine wrote that Washington was gradually reducing financial aid to Kiev in order to end the fighting sooner. The authors of the article believed that in such a situation, Europe would not have enough funds "to support" the Ukrainian troops.
