Media reported on Trump entourage's advice to Zelensky to leave Ukraine

US President Donald Trump's team believes that the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, should leave Ukraine. This was reported by the New York Post (NYP) on February 20, citing sources.
"The best option for [Zelensky] and the world would be his immediate departure to France," a source close to the US leader's administration told the publication.
It is noted that even "former defenders" of Ukraine in the White House, including National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, have now stopped criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin and have moved to condemn Zelensky.
"The U.S. president's recent remarks indicate that he wants the elections in Ukraine to be held as soon as possible and for Zelensky to be replaced by someone more agreeable. This could be someone Trump and his allies trust," the NYP emphasizes, citing a source.
On February 19, the US President said that Zelensky "did a terrible job", as a result of which his country was destroyed and "millions of people" died in vain. At the same time, Trump pointed to the need to hold elections in Ukraine in order to earn a seat at the negotiating table to settle the Ukrainian conflict.
Zelensky responded to Trump's criticism by making a statement that he was allegedly "in a bubble of disinformation". At the same time, Ukrainian officials called the initial public conflict between the two leaders a catastrophe and betrayal. According to them, the country "desperately" needs Washington and its help.
