Moscow mayor told about plans to improve Presnensky district

In 2025, the improvement of the Presnensky district will continue: the work will be carried out in the areas adjacent to the park "Krasnaya Presnya", including the passage along the park, as well as Mantulinskaya Street and a section of Krasnopresnenskaya embankment near the multifunctional complex "Venice". Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"The main task is to unite the space, to make it more modern and functional for both local residents and visitors to the mixed-use complex," the mayor wrote in his personal blog.
According to him, about 90 parking spaces and new ground crossings with contrasting lighting will appear on the territory adjacent to the park. The roadway surface will be renewed, and pedestrian zones will be expanded. It is also planned to install ramps to make it convenient for low-mobility residents to get off the sidewalks.
Two new bus stops will also appear in the work zone. Also there will be installed about 30 lanterns with energy-saving lamps, will plant more than 30 large trees and 50 bushes, will break almost 8 thousand square meters of lawn.
The traffic scheme at the intersection of Sergei Makeev Street and Mantulinskaya Street will be reorganized.
In recent years, several major improvement projects have been implemented in the Presnensky district. Sobyanin cited the example of Krasnopresnenskaya embankment, which has turned into a comfortable zone for recreation, walks and sports. A large landscaped space appeared between Barrikadnaya Street, Krasnaya Presnya Street, Zvenigorodskoye Shosse and embankments. The December Uprising Park was also tidied up.
