In the State Duma said about the possibility of amendments to the law amid inspections of the Svetofor network

The authorities may amend the law on trade against the background of the results of inspections in the Svetofor chain. This was told to "Izvestia" on February 21 by State Duma deputy Sergey Lisovsky.

It was he who actively advocated Rospotrebnadzor's control measures in this company against the background of its rough work with domestic suppliers.

According to the parliamentarian, the retail chain delayed payments to suppliers, returned unsold goods and forced manufacturers to pay for the disposal of "overdue" goods. This was depressing our manufacturers, he assured.

"We are already discussing with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development adjustments to the law on trade in terms of a complete ban on the return of goods to the supplier, large networks have already assured us that they do not practice such an approach and generally support the concept of such amendments," he explained.

According to the deputy, other changes to the law are also necessary: in terms of determining what is considered a violation of existing regulations. Networks should face penalties for a one-size-fits-all error for the entire network or for non-compliance with each contract.

"We are confident that the latter option is more promising, it is the one that will force the trade to comply more thoroughly with the law on trade," Lisovsky emphasized.

The retail chain is among the top 5 retailers in terms of turnover, the network develops 2.2 thousand stores in 45 subjects of Russia.

February 21, Rospotrebnadzor reported that in the course of inspections of products sold in the chain of stores "Svetofor" were found numerous violations. It was specified that the products with expired shelf life were found, as well as employees did not comply with the requirements to the conditions of storage of food products.
