31 more metro stations to be built in Moscow by 2030 - Sergey Sobyanin

Until 2030, 31 more subway stations will be built in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin on February 21.

"In total, the plans until 2030 - the construction of 71.4 km of lines, 31 stations and five new electric depots", - he informed in his Telegram-channel.

The mayor reminded that in 2024 in the capital built 17.4 km of lines and eight metro stations. In addition, he said that at the moment the construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya and Troitskaya lines, as well as the station "Dostoevskaya" of the ring line continues.

Sobyanin also noted that preparatory work is underway in Moscow on the Biryulevskaya line, as well as for the extension of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line to the new terminus station "Golyanovo".

"In the next two years we will continue modernization of the railway network: we will complete and reconstruct seven Moscow city stations and renovate the Leningradsky station," he said.

The mayor also emphasized that since 2011 1460 km of roads, 454 tunnels, overpasses and bridges, 328 crosswalks have been built. Also in 2024 completed the reconstruction of interchanges on the Moscow Ring Road and erected 100 km of roads.

"In 2025-2027 we will build another 265.5 km of roads, 50 artificial structures and 51 crosswalks," Sobyanin concluded.

January 10, Sobyanin said that in Moscow by 2030 will build about 40 new metro stations. It was specified that eight of them opened for passengers in 2024: on the map of the capital's subway appeared Troitskaya line, and on the Sokolnicheskaya branch - one more station. In addition, the construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya subway line will continue. The first stations are planned to open in 2026. Also experts are engaged in designing of the future Biryulevskaya branch. There should be ten stations on it.
