Defense Ministry shows footage of Ka-52m strike on AFU forces in Kursk region

The crew of the Ka-52 helicopter in the course of the mission to support the ground group of troops struck at the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower and equipment in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 21.

"The crew launched a missile strike on armored, automotive equipment and personnel of the AFU hidden in a wooded area. According to the intelligence report, the AFU personnel and military equipment were destroyed. The crew of the attack helicopter returned safely to the departure airfield," the Defense Ministry said.

While performing tasks within the framework of the special military operation (SMO), the army aviation undertakes many tasks, including taking part in missions to escort convoys, destroy armored vehicles, as well as deliver troops and military cargo.

A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the 810th Brigade and 56th Regiment for their successes in the Kursk region. In turn, the servicemen reported to the President on the situation in the area of their responsibility. Earlier, on February 19, Putin said that the soldiers of the 810th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces had crossed the border of Kursk region and entered the territory of Ukraine. The head of state noted that Russian units were advancing along the entire line of contact.
