Senator accuses US authorities of spending on designers from Ukraine

US Senator Rand Paul of the Republican Party has accused the government of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to send Ukrainian designers to Paris for a fashion show. He said on February 20.

"I voted against all this, but the members of the Senate who voted for it spent several hundred thousand dollars sending designers from Ukraine to a fashion show in Paris," Paul said.

On the eve of President Donald Trump said that the administration of his predecessor Joe Biden allocated $100 million for condoms for the radical Palestinian movement Hamas.

Prior to that, on February 19, President Trump pointed out that there was no mutual benefit from the $350 billion in aid to Ukraine, including accusing President Vladimir Zelensky of wanting to continue the conflict with Russian Federation for the sake of his enrichment.
