Zelensky after meeting with Kellogg expressed hope for a lasting agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that talks with US envoy Keith Kellogg "revive hope" for a lasting agreement. Reuters reported on February 20 that.
"General Kellogg, a meeting that revives hope. We need a strong agreement that will actually work. I have instructed to work quickly and very, very impartially. The details of the agreement are important. The better the details are worked out, the better the result," Zelensky said in his late-night video message.
After the meeting, Zelensky wrote on social network X (formerly Twitter) that his discussion with Kellogg centered on the situation in the combat zones and security guarantees for Ukraine.
"Ukraine is ready for a strong, effective investment and security agreement with the President of the United States. We have offered the fastest and most constructive way to achieve a result," he announced.
Earlier in the day, Kellogg held a meeting in Kiev with Zelensky. However, the press conference on the results of the negotiations was canceled at the initiative of the Americans. At the same time, CNN reported that the US presidential aides have been anxiously following the public statements of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky lately and especially his reaction to the US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia.
