Waltz voiced Trump's disappointment in Zelensky over his rejection of the fossil deal

US President Donald Trump was disappointed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy 's rejection of the mineral deal. US presidential adviser Mike Waltz said on February 20.
"[Trump] is obviously very disappointed by the fact that he (Zelensky - Ed.) did not negotiate, did not agree to the opportunity that we offered," Waltz said.
At the same time, he noted that Zelensky will likely "eventually" be forced to make a deal.
"I think he will eventually come to that, hopefully very quickly," the US leader's aide said.
On the same day, White House sources pointed to Zelensky's rhetoric hindering peace in Ukraine. The situation reportedly became even more tense when Zelensky called Trump a "victim of Russian disinformation." Prior to that, on February 19, Trump said that Zelensky "did a terrible job", as a result of which his country was destroyed and "millions of people" died in vain. In addition, the US President said that Kiev could not report on where it spent the funds transferred by Washington.
