An investigation is underway in the states regarding $50bn that was stolen from US funds and sent to Ukraine, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said in an interview with Izvestia.

"I know that $50 billion has already been identified as having been stolen from US funds and sent to Ukraine. This money was deposited in Caribbean banks and is now being tracked," the expert said.

He added that in case this information leads directly to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump may resort to the most radical measures.

"If any of this has anything to do with Zelensky, I wouldn't be surprised if Donald Trump seizes any property that Zelensky owns in the United States and takes it as repayment for money stolen from the United States. So Zelensky should have cooperated, but he's too arrogant and stupid," Johnson emphasized.
