Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Johannesburg that in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day Russia calls on the G20 partners to act as a "united front" in the fight against neo-Nazism. This is reported on February 20 on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II, we call on the G20 partners to stand on the side of truth and law, acting as a "united front" in the fight against the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and racism," Lavrov said.

In addition, the Russian foreign minister noted that the threat of international terrorism, which has gained a new dimension due to NATO military actions in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and Syria, persists. Lavrov said that terrorist groups around the world are "fueled" by supplies of Western weapons that reach them from Ukraine.

Lavrov arrived in Johannesburg on February 20 to attend the G20 foreign ministers' meeting. The G20 presidency passed to South Africa from Brazil on December 1 last year. Later, the Russian foreign minister held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, during which he agreed on the visit of the Chinese foreign minister to Moscow.
