Musk proposed to begin preparations for the ISS to leave orbit

American entrepreneur Ilon Musk has called for the International Space Station (ISS) to be removed from orbit, explaining that it is of little use. He expressed the corresponding opinion in the social network X (former Twitter) on February 20.

"It's time to start preparations for the ISS's withdrawal from orbit. She has served her time. There is very little use for it. Let's go to Mars," Musk wrote.
