Dmitry Pevtsov has been charged in absentia in Ukraine


Russian actor and State Duma member Dmitriy Pevtsov has been sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison in Ukraine. About it on February 20 reported on the website of the Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region.
"In absentia verdict of the Vinnytsia city court he (Pevtsov) was sentenced - 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property", - reported on the site.
Pevtsov is accused of "repeatedly spreading anti-Ukrainian narratives during mass events with the participation of [Russian President] Vladimir Putin."
On February 19, the press service of Russia's Main Military Prosecutor's Office said that the court sentenced Ukrainian Armed Forces machine gunner Oleksandr Husak to life imprisonment with the first seven years to be served in prison. According to the investigation, the machine gunner illegally entered the territory of Kursk Region, where he participated in armed attacks on populated areas and intimidated civilians, as well as shot three Russian servicemen.
