- Manturov announced the admission to the market of only foreign companies necessary for the Russian Federation

Only those foreign companies that the Russian Federation considers useful for itself will be allowed to enter the Russian market. This was announced to journalists by Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov on February 20.
"We will admit to our market the one in whom we ourselves are interested," Manturov said.
The deputy head of the government noted that during the period of sanctions imposed by Western countries and their allies, Russia has seriously improved the system of preferences in public procurement and measures to support manufacturers. For example, in industries that are most important for technological sovereignty, absolute priority is given to domestic companies and brands from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The deputy prime minister added that in working on projects with foreigners in Russia, conditions have been formed for localization, technology transfer and control of Russian participants over the implementation of these plans. Manturov emphasized that Moscow will not deviate from these principles - this is the reality in which foreign companies will have to exist.
