The reactor of power unit No. 1 at Kursk NPP-2 will be launched in April

Physical startup of the reactor of power unit No. 1 at Kursk NPP-2 is scheduled for April 2025. This is stated in the presentation of the plant management on February 20.

"28.04.2025 - the beginning of the physical start-up of the reactor of power unit No. 1," reads the document presented by the managers at a meeting with the region's acting governor Alexander Khinshtein, the text is quoted by TASS.

Earlier, on August 9, 2024, the general contractor for the construction of Kursk NPP-2 said that the construction of the plant is on schedule, but the number of personnel at the site had to be reduced due to the emergency regime introduced in the region.
